We know you already love your credit union, so why not let us know how much and apply for our 2018-2019 scholarship!

Qualifications:

  • The student must be a current or graduating high school Senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0

  • The student must be a Pennsylvania resident and a member of a credit union from the Greensburg Chapter of Credit Unions.

  • The student must be enrolled in an accredited College, University, Technical, Trade or Nursing School.

  • A letter of acceptance must be included.

  • The student must have had their account open for more than a year prior to their graduation.

  • Scholarship application must be completed and mailed along with the other requested documents no later than March 31st of their graduation year. Failure to include all requested documents will disqualify the student from consideration.

- All applications become the sole property of the Greensburg Chapter of Credit Unions.

- The student must submit a typed or computer generated essay of 700 words or less on their credit union and specifically what benefits a credit union offers over a big bank, or why they love being a member at their credit union.

- The scholarship of $500.00 will be awarded to a student each year based on their essay response and required documentation.

-The winner will be notified by April 30th and must present proof of acceptance to their school of choice. The check will be made payable to the student and will be presented at the monthly May Chapter Meeting.
