Pheple FCU’s Member Advisory Board is seeking candidates.
What is the Member Advisory Board?
The Pheple FCU Member Advisory Board serves as a voice for our membership. The board meets regularly to review credit union initiatives and provide feedback that helps ensure we continue to meet the needs of the people and communities we serve.
The Member Advisory Board helps the credit union:
Listen to member perspectives and experiences; and
Use member feedback to inform services, products, and member experience improvements.
What are the responsibilities of the Member Advisory Board?
To carry out its purpose, the Member Advisory Board may:
Review current and upcoming credit union initiatives, services, and member experience updates;
Provide feedback on the credit union strategic plan, communications, branch and digital experiences, and member-facing processes;
Share member perspectives on what’s working well and where improvements are needed;
Identify emerging needs or trends impacting members in our communities;
Serve as a sounding board for new ideas, pilot programs, or enhancements before broader rollout; and
Help strengthen engagement by ensuring member voices are heard and considered in decision-making.
What are the benefits of serving on the Member Advisory Board?
As a member of our Member Advisory Board, you will:
Have a direct role in shaping improvements that impact the membership;
Gain insight into how a credit union develops and delivers new initiatives;
Build relationships with fellow members and credit union leadership;
Develop a deeper understanding of Pheple FCU’s mission and strategic priorities; and
Help ensure we keep “People helping people” at the center of what we do.
Who is eligible and what skills are required?
Those applying for the Member Advisory Board must be:
Of legal age
A primary member of Pheple FCU
In good standing with the credit union
Given the Boards’s focus, the ideal candidates:
Believe in the mission of the credit union
Are willing to serve as a voice of our members
Are good communicators
Work well with others
This is a great opportunity to learn more about the strategic vision of the credit union and make an impact on how we serve our members.
How Long Would I Serve, and What is My Commitment?
Each Committee member gets elected to a three-year term and may apply to be re-nominated if they so choose.
We estimate a general time commitment of roughly eight hours per year.
The Pheple FCU Member Advisory Board holds four quarterly meetings each year.
Most Board meetings are held in person, in the evenings.
